What is Windshield Repair?
Windshield Repair is a process in which air and moisture are removed from the damaged area, and a special resin is injected into the windshield to fill the voids and restore the windshields integrity.

What kind of damage can be repaired?
We repair chips and cracks resulting from stone damage and flying debris and those from windshield stress and temperature variation. “Chips” up to the size of a 50 cent piece, and cracks of any size can be repaired.

 

 

 

 

 

Will the damage disappear?
There is no known system which makes the repair invisible. A lot depends on the size, location, age, and type of damage, but you can expect a 85-90% improvement in the clarity of your windshield.

Will my insurance rates go up?
Not for a repair claim.  Insurance companies have found it is cheaper to pay for repairs than to assist you in paying for an entire windshield.  Ask your agent if you have any questions about your situation.

How soon can I drive after a repair?
As soon as we are done! You can even go through a carwash without worries.

Why don't other companies repair long cracks?
Because they can make a larger profit by replacing your windshield. At CHIP B GONE, we believe in keeping structural integrity of your windshield intact, and will suggest replacement if necessary.

Will my chip become a crack?
The longer you wait to repair the chip the greater the odds that it will start to crack. Variants in temperature such as a hot day and a vehicles cold AC could lead to cracking. If you repair the chip in a timely fashion, it will not spread further.
